I was born in 1980 in Emporia, Kansas, and raised in Council Grove. That's about 40 miles south of Manhattan, Kansas, or just below the first "S" in Kansas on a Map of the USA. My family life was unusual in that I had my original two parents my entire life. I also have a younger sister and brother. Growing up there were the five of us, three cats, a dog, about twenty rabbits, and anyhere from ten to fourty goats. The goats were not mine.

I always had one or two close friends and did well in school. I was kind of geeky and always into art. In 1999 my senior class voted me best artist and I was glad high school was over.

Since then I've attended 5 years of college at three different institutions. In May 2004 I recieved my BFA in sculpture from Kansas State University. My husband and I moved to Kansas City were we both have jobs.
